Voter Turn-Out As Of 15 March 2017

Voter Turn-Out As Of 15 March 2017

While reading the news today, an article caught my eye. Something about the officials leading the European Union. They are not elected to office. Thought this was strange and the idea that leaders of a representative government leading "me", yet not being elected, was scary. Thinking a bit more in depth I started wondering how many people actually voted for President Trump compared to how many people voted for Her Honor Hillary Clinton. Irregardless of the temperament, the qualification, and the training of each candidate, it is the vote tally that is the final nail in the coffin so to speak. I notice the change in the hair color of His Honor Barack Obama. He is as grey as I am, now that he has retired from the Presidency, compared to how young and vigorous he appeared on his first day of office during 2009.

As far as the vote tally, according to one of the many sites I looked into electproject.org, the statistics indicate that roughly forty percent of eligible voters did not even participate in the election. This figure, irresponsible voters able to criticize without participating in the election itself, was obtained by a division of the total projected votes cast by the total of estimated eligible voters as calculated by this political scientist I left all of this man's mathematics, statistics, and bona fides behind the links above because the work and credit for the work belongs to him. I do not aggregate information without the source receiving the acknowledgement it deserves. Anyone whom reads my elementary blog post should look at the links I have cited, and the readers will be able to see for themselves the dark portentions shared by this scientist's hard work.

Four out of ten protesters did not vote

Either in support of Donald Trump or support of Hillary Clinton, unruly mobs and ruffians creating havoc is not a positive contribution to the election process. People have the "right to assemble" and protest within certain boundaries, or if I am mistaken would appreciate a comment stating rebuttals of my arguments. There are safety issues, security issues, and medical issues. Even porta-potties must be a part of the equation allowing for people to assemble responsibly. What is at the core of my opinion on this pathetic election cycle is that organized civil disobedience and exercising our assembly rights are two different topics. Spontaneous impulse is not exercising the "right to assemble." Spontaneous impulse is gathering together as an ungoverned mob. An political assembly has an organized agenda by the very definition. In addition four out of ten people did not even bother to vote yet feel as though they should complain.

For me, we are having a municipal election dated 4 April 2017 for our mayor and a city-council chair. Remember to ask any protesters you may happen to meet what the precinct number of their home address and another good question is what are the first ten Amendments to the United States Constitution are named.
